Cynthia Münster
Cynthia Münster is an award-winning journalist and photographer who joined The Hill Times in 2008. She also worked as a photographer and reporter at The Daily Graphic and the weekly The Central Plains Herald-Leader in Portage la Prairie, Man.
She reports on Canada’s federal public service in her “Civil Circles” column, on the House and Senate administration and on federal politics generally. She also photographs parties and events around town and stays otherwise busy shooting various political events.
Cynthia is fluent in Spanish, English, and German and has received awards from the Manitoba Community Newspapers Association (best agricultural story) and from the News Photographers Association of Canada’s monthly picture contests (best photo story and best feature photo for Western Canada).
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cynthia immigrated to Canada in 2001. She holds a bachelors in fine arts honours from York University and studied photojournalism at Loyalist College.
