But other Liberals say they're positioned for the next while to provide good opposition.

Mr Harper is only masquerading as a member of the Beatles, but I must admit successfully fooling some of the people but only this one time. He is much closer to one of the beetles ,the leader of a mean-spirited attack (the attack of the of the blue meanies), on a genuinely warm and caring human being as Mr Ignatieff is in real life.

Someone tell Ignatieff to stop pointing his finger at us: it's not appreciated.

well if there are no policies due to fear attack ads can it be said there is leadership at all?

clearly not.

Have positions.

Soft in the head is looking a lot more toxic than the BOGUS AMERICAN fear of being soft on crime.

I'd say the sycophants to the establishment in Toronto are exactly the wrong people to look to when wanting to inspire others.

The results are in - move West to Vancouver and allow me to advise you because right now the old saying, with friends like these...come to mind.

You have to laugh at these folks. They are still so blind, they blame Conservatives for their failures. People are leaving the Liberals in droves because they have failed to provide an alternative. Appointing a leader, appointing candidates, back-stabbing each other, failing to provide ideas, whining about the Conservatives, lying constantly about wanting an election and on and on and on. Mr. Ignatieff is not a leader. He has neither the spine to stand up for himself and his ideas, nor does he have the charisma to draw people into his sphere. The longer these folks think the fault of their tumbling popularity lies with the Conservatives, the longer it will take for them to recover. You want to know why you are not gaining support - look in a mirror - stop blaming everything and everyone else. Ads (negative or otherwise) work ONLY when people perceive them to be telling the truth - that is why the Conservative "negative" ads worked and the "positive" ads by Mr. Ignatieff failed to work - people didn't believe he was speaking the truth.

I am afraid the Liberal party is in denial. The leader has proven to be weak. He continues to set himself up in boxes that he then has to climb out of. Saying, Mr. Harper your time is up. Sounded arrogant. Canadians will decide when Mr. Harper's time is up; not the Liberal party.
Recently he said that it will be up to other opposition parties to support the government because Libs had lost confidence in the government. Now he is saying that he didn't say that but would vote on an issue by issue basis. He not only is feckless but is a l*ar.
Ignatieff has defined himself and Canadians are not buying him personally or politically.
